Before GameBoy, there was Game and Watches
The Game and Watch Gallery series has been around for a while and is now available for the GBA. This game contains many classic games just like Namco Musuem
, but the games are not as memorable as the ones in Namco Musuem
, because each of these games came out individually on LCD Handhelds and not in the arcades. That doesn't mean this collection isn't good, there is a lot here than meets the eye. First off you start out with a good amount of games and more can be unlocked by achieving high scores. Each game has 2 versions, modern which is the classic game remade with Mario characters and Classic, which is the LCD game perfectly ported right down to the frames. On top of Classic and Modern mode, you also have 2 plus a 3rd unlockable difficulty. The game has so many bonuses, you can unlock new games, difficulties, tips, history and info on other Game and Watch games. Nintendo could've just putted the classic games on one cartridge and be on par with other classic collections, but instead greatly deepen the experience. All the games here are only one screen as they are based on classic LCD games and not sidescrolling games of the NES. If you don't mind that, then check it out.
