Part 28: Going to Ridley's Lair
From the vertical blue room, transfer to the vertical orange room. Enter the door at the very bottom, continue on as straight ahead is the elevator to Norfair. You might want to first refill your health and missles by shooting some hornets. Once you are ready, take the elevator down. In Norfair, go through the door to the right. Take this path to the vertical room, drop down and place a bomb one block from the wall.
Take this passage down to the
second part of the vertical room. Next drop all the way down, you want to take the lowest door.
Keep moving left to enter a small vertical room. Go through the other door here and you will be in a elevator room. This elevator will take you down to Ridley's Lair, home of the second boss in the game.
At the bottom of the elevator room will be two doors, take the door to the left.
You should now be in a gray room, if you shoot the ceiling above, the tiles will
break, but will lead nowhere. Just go through the door which will lead to another gray room.
This time shoot up and keep jumping to get on top of the door when it closes. You are now in another room with a high door. The door is reachable so use your high jump. Inside is a purple room with a trio of sweepers. Blast them with your missles. Ahead are a group of hornet hives and a missle upgrade. If you are weak it wouldn't be wise to continue.
