Yoshi's Topsy Turvy

Control Yoshi and his world at the same time
Are you tired of all the platformers around? If so, then you would want to give something different a chance. This is where Yoshi's Topsy Turvy comes in. In Yoshi's Topsy Turvy players control Yoshi who isn't with Mario, on a quest against Bowser. What makes this game different is that players can tilt the world to help Yoshi reach the goal. The tilt technology works like it should, that is very important as the whole game revolves around tilting your GameBoy Advance and if it wasn't responsive then this game would be broken. Since this game is 2D, only tilting the GameBoy to the left or right effects the world. Now what about the game? Every level there is a minimum requirement Yoshi must complete, it ranges from collecting a certain amount of coins, defeating a number of enemies or completing the level in a given time limit. Later on, Yoshi will be given more then one requirement to clear a level. Each level is broken up into a few small parts. One part you might be tilting non-moving elevators, falling from the sky collecting coins, going up using a series of canons or riding a giant sphere by tilting the world. Nintendo came up with many clever ways to use the tilt technology. One of them is being on a pirate ship similar to the ones from the carnivals, to make it swing, players have to tilt their GameBoys left and right to build up momentum. They're cool the first time around, but get reused on other levels. Thats one of the drawbacks of Topsy Turvy, some elements get repeated to fill the game. If you want to experiene a whole new way of playing your GameBoy Advance, then give Yoshi's Topsy Turvy a tilt.
