SSX Tricky

Hit the slopes, but watch out for that tree.
Everyone who has played SSX on the consoles knows how much fun it is to play, all the tricks, speed, courses and characters there are. For the GameBoy Advance version, they really pushed it to the limit. This game has nice 3D graphics and the courses in here has the same stlye as the console version right down to the air vents and boost strips from Tokyo Megaplex. The audio is nicely done and includes the Run DMC Tricky sample as well. Sounds great, but there are also some drawbacks as well. First off, you don't get the same sense of speed as you do in the console version. Also as you race through the level, things such as slopes start popping out into view. The game doesn't have as many trick buttons as the console version, but that isn't a big deal. Another thing is that if you pick your favorite character, that character will have the same stats throughout the entire game. I picked Eddy and had a hard time going all the way to Alaska with him, but the characters I unlocked later had near max stats. So if I change my character, I got to start over since stats are not upgradable like in the console game. This game isn't a bad game, it doesn't suffer from bugs, it has built in save and is very playable if you look beyond the minor drawbacks so thats why I give it a 6.5
