Mario Tennis: Power Tour

Goes down to the last Power Shot
If you loved Mario Golf: Advance Tour, then you'll love Mario Tennis: Power Tour. The main feature in Mario Tennis: Power Tour is the career mode, here you can freely walk around and challenge higher ranking players for a ranking match. The world of Mario Tennis is fairly small, consisting of a hotel, restaurant, training center and some courts where players of a certain rank hangout. Later on in Power Tour the world expands as players travel to compete against more skilled players. For the most part, tennis matches will be played. Mario Tennis is the same as real tennis, but on top of tennis standards, Mario Tennis adds powershots and charged shots giving the game a arcade feel. Holding the hit button will cause your character to stand in place and charge, releasing it to hit the ball will send a turbo charged shot into your opponent's side. Power Shots are gained by filling your power meter up. Once a power shot is activated, the tennis match will pause as a short cinema will play, adding drama as the ball gets strucked. Power shots ruin intense matches, you can be having the greatest match ever, then someone uses a powershot pausing the game, disrupting the flow of the match and then the ball rockets giving the other team little or no time to retaliate. Power shots are cheap as they don't require any technique, most matches will be won with powershots. With that aside, Nintendo fans will enjoy career mode's finale the most as a certain character will appear for a challenge, we'll just leave it at that.
