Urban Champion was one of the earliest fighting games made that first appeared on the NES. Fighters have since evolved with special moves and combo systems. Urban Champion on the hand is a bare bones classic fighter that came out before fighting games such as Tekken and Street Fighter. Urban Champion is being rereleased on the e-Reader as Urban Champion-e. Which is the same exact Urban Champion from the NES, except it has been modified to fit the advance screen. There are no life bars, just keep punching your opponent back to the next block and into the sewer. You can block your opponent's attacks and counter with either a high or low punches. Cops will pass by, forcing both opponents to separate until the cops leave and then the fight starts again. Building residents will pop out of windows dropping flower pots which will cause dizziniess to whoever it lands on. The game can get quite repetitive, since players will be fighting opponent after opponent until they lose. This game is only playable if you have the e-Reader accessory, there is no cartridge version of this game available. Urban Champion-e is worth buying if you're looking for a simple fighter that doesn't have super specials and crazy combos.
