There isn't many tactical games on the GameBoy Advance, all there is are Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre and Onimusha Tactics just to name them all, but now one is being released from Namco called Rebelstar: Tactical Command. Rebelstar has a odd story where aliens abduct all humans over the age of 30. You play as Jorel, who became a rebel after having both of his parents abducted. Jorel will meet other rebels such as Ruby, Sapphire, Zak and who can't forget Carlos the Panther. Each character has their own strengths ranging from weaponry to stealth to healing and can upgrade other stats by using points gained by leveling up. In other tactics games, the elevation plays a large role, but in Rebelstar all the levels are flat since most areas are urban. Snipe from windows or hide in a cramped place to ambush enemies. Gernades play a huge role also, since smoke gernades can hide you from enemies for a few turns and explosive gernades can blow up walls to create new openings. Rebelstar: Tactical Command is a different tactics game from what we've played so far on the GameBoy Advance and may add some fresh air to a genre that has been around for a while.
