The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Four Swords is two games in one similar to the Super Mario Advance series. A Link to the Past is the single player Super Nintendo classic and Four Swords is a new multiplayer quest. In a Link to the Past, a wizard by the name of Agahnim takes control of Hyrule by overthrowing the king of Hyrule. Agahnim's goal is to break the seal to the Dark World, which keeps Ganon from escaping. The overhead gamplay that started with the original Legend of Zelda has been taken further with two new worlds and items like the hookshot and Pegasus Boots. Along with the main quest, there are a number of side quests that awards players with new items and pieces of heart that will increase your health once four of them are collected. In the other game, the Four Swords, princess Zelda has been kidnapped by the wind mage Vaati. It will take the power of the four sword and multiple Links to save her. Unlike Super Mario Advance, each player needs their own copy of the game to play and there is no single player option. Four Swords combines competitive and cooperative gameplay to defeat evil and collect as many rupees in the process. Since each gamefile contains data for both A Link to the Past and Four Swords, special items can be unlocked in one game to be used for the other
